FRACTORA - Skin Microneedling

Fractora is a fractional skin resurfacing and subdermal tissue coagulation device that bridges the gap between fractional lasers and surgical procedures. Clinical papers demonstrate outcomes such as: improvement in skin complexion, reduction in skin irregularities, and restoration of skin to a more youthful appearance. This all occurs within one session or multiple sessions, depending on patient preference.

  • Significant resolution of cystic acne and scars (improving acne scarring by 50%)
  • Significant resolution on appearance of fine lines and wrinkles as well as collagen boost
  • Safe on all skin types with little risk of post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) which is common with other resurfacing methods.
  • 3 sessions 1 month apart
  • no down time

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR APPOINTMENT

Depending on the size of the area being treated, you will need about an hour to an hour and a half.  The nurse practitioner will numb the treatment area first for about 45 minutes.  Then she will do a test spot to set expectations.  Once the treatment is over, you will be relaxed with a cooling mask for another 15 minutes.

Post treatment you will be given Aquaphor to protect open pores and help with healing.  It will feel like you have a mild sunburn, and this will disseminate within a day or two.  You will take specific instructions on what products to use post laser.  Most patients can wear mineral make up the next day.  Sunscreen is recommended.

You will start seeing and feeling your results within a week.  This is one of our most popular laser treatments since patients can really see significant change in a short period of time.

You should complete three sessions to see best results.  They are scheduled one 3-5 weeks apart.  Touch ups are recommended also, about every 6 months to a year.
